Winter Fun (2014)

I can honestly say there is no such thing as ‘winter doldrums’ when you’re working with preschoolers, and VMS is no exception.  Besides a renewed focus on learning after the winter break, the frequent snows we’ve had keep the energy level high.  To further their learning experiences (and just for fun), the children have enjoyed two very different programs in the new year: well-known storyteller Arianna Ross of Story Tapestries came to VMS and delighted the children with animal tales from Asia, and Sarah, a dental hygienist, provided the children with lots of good information about keeping their teeth healthy.

We’ve begun our re-enrollment process and look forward to welcoming back many friends.  We also had two very successful Open Houses in February at which we met a number of families interested in quality preschool education for their little ones.  Of course we hope to welcome many of them into our VMS family in the future.  Finally, our summer program, Little Villagers, began enrollment for the summer months.  Kellie has planned a number of wonderful enrichment activities as well as fun activities every day from mid-June through the first week of August.  Be sure to get your child’s application in for those weeks so Kellie can reserve your spot.

March will bring many more, wonderful activities as we move toward Spring… can’t wait!
